How To Stay Motivated

Today I'm sharing with you some DIY's and ideas to stay motivated to have a
healthy and fit lifestyle! These ideas are based around being
motivated to be healthy and exercise!

1. If you want to be motivated to work out, get new clothes.
Get some cute work out clothes, and some nice work out shoes so that
you want to wear them, and they're comfortable!

2. If you're stuck on what exercise to do, fill a jar with popsicle sticks with
exercises on them and choose one from the jar! This way you might have
a surprise for your workout. You can also make a reward jar for every time you
finish an exercise, with sticks that say "watch a Netflix episode" or "watch YouTube".

3. To motivate you to drink a certain amount of water, fill your bottle
and mark on it with marker the amount of water you want to drink by a certain time.

4. If you do yoga, you can write quotes on your yoga mat to inspire you!

5. If you have your own work out system at your house, make an inspiration
board with pictures and quotes and put it on the wall. You can also hang
separate quotes and pictures around the room!

6. This is simple, but making a playlist with the best music for working out is key.
You can find pre-made playlists on Spotify or other apps, or you can make your own!

I hope you guys were inspired by any of these idea and try them out!

diy: heat protectant spray!

I don't know about you, but I use a pretty unhealthy amount of heat on my hair.
So I use heat protectants, and they definitely make me feel less guilty
and a little bit better about "frying" my hair.

I found a recipe for a DIY heat protectant that will keep your hair moisturized and
healthy, even when you want to style it with heat! Plus, you know exactly
what's going in it so it's all natural and there's no chemicals!

• Coconut oil
• Almond oil
• Leave in conditioner (or regular conditioner)
• Hair spray (optional)
• Water
• Spray bottle

Let's Get Started!

Step One: Add 200 ml of water into the spray bottle.

Step Two: Melt your coconut oil to a liquid if it's not
already, then drop in about 4 small drops.

Step Three: Add 4-5 drops of almond oil into the spray bottle.

Step Four: Put 2-3 drops of conditioner or leave-in conditioner in as well.
You may want to use a damage repairing one because this is being used before applying heat.

Step Five: You can add a little bit of hairspray if you want this to help
keep your hair straight and hold it as well. You can also add essential oils, but don't
add too many things or the products will weigh your hair down and make it greasy!

Step Six: Add 50ml of water on top to make sure it all blends.

After that, SHAKE IT ALL UP!

• Spray onto sections of your hair before applying heat
• Brush your hair so the product spreads evenly
• Style as usual! You can use this on wet or dry hair

I really hope you guys try this! Let me know if you do!

best nail polish ever?!

With these polishes standing out on the display rack everywhere, I just had to try them out!

Today I'm giving you my thoughts on the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Nail Polishes!

The idea of these is a gel long lasting polish that works without a light when you follow the color with the gel top coat. So do these replace those salon manicures?

I went out and bought these three polishes from the line at Target.
First off, this GORGEOUS blue called "Tidal Wave" is so pigmented, and so smooth.
It's a perfect summer color.

The white is also very pigmented, and white nails are trendy for any season,
and I've had my eye out for a nice white polish.
The white is called "Get Mod".

Also the color selection of the whole line itself is fantastic.. I mean I would get
every single one if it weren't for the price.
These range from $7.99 to $9.99 at different places.

I'm not saying this is a terrible price, but I don't think they're worth it,
and I don't think the formula or lasting power is amazing.
They don't last much more than a few days, when the claim is 2 weeks.
 They chip easily!

Personally, I love the Sally Hansen Extreme Wear polishes, and I'd rather
buy those for $2-3 than the Miracle Gel ones.
They're nice, but they're not worth the hype!

Everything works differently for different people, so let me know if
you've tried these and how you like them! I might try some more colors
to see if I'm impressed any more!

summer skincare routine!

Hello! Today I'm sharing with you my holy grail skincare products for my normal to dry skin.
These products would also work for any kind of skin types,
but this is what works perfectly for me!

Let's start from the beginning, how I remove my makeup.

I love using the Neutrogena Makeup Remover Wipes
and I've used them for years!
They remove every bit of makeup and they make your skin feel so clean and hydrated.
They leave a bit of oil behind, but most makeup wipes do.

The next step to healthy skin is washing your face, to get rid of the excess
makeup and oils on your face. I rotate two different cleansers.

The Clean & Clear Foaming Facial Cleanser is great for everyday,
and the Vasanti BrightenUp Exfoliating Cleanser is great for a gentle exfoliant!
It has small crystals almost like sand that clean your face without being too harsh!

After washing my face, it's time to moisturize. Finding the right moisturizer has always been difficult. With dry and sensitive skin it's hard to find one that won't irritate my skin.
I also think it's a problem for anyone to find a moisturizer that
really moisturizes, but doesn't leave your skin like a greasy mess.

Finally, I found the Simple Replenishing Rich Moisturizer, and it's AMAZING!
It hydrates and moisturizes but doesn't leave your skin greasy,
so its perfect for under makeup. It dry's quickly and doesn't leave you oily,
and it doesn't irritate my skin or have a weird scent. It might be magic.

Lastly, for acne spot treatments every once in a while, I use the
Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Spot Treatment. I put this on my problem
areas at night or the morning, and reapply throughout the day and it's great!

Like I said, these products would work for any skin type,
and I would highly recommend checking them out!

What's your holy grail skincare item? Let me know!
Thanks for reading.

diy: tumblr laptop stickers!

Today I wanted to share this simple DIY with you, because it's so cute yet so easy!

I always see people on the internet with the cutest laptops, and they're covered with stickers.
You'd think you would have to buy a bunch of stickers, BUT YOU DONT!
You can make your own, and you can personalize them as much as you want!

First find your images. You can use photos of you, or look up ones online.

I found these by searching "emojis" and "tumblr transparents".

Then, print your images on label paper.  Make sure to use full size label sheets, it's like a giant sticker.

Once that's printed, cut them out, peel the backs, and you're done!

So easy!

I hope you enjoyed, and I hope you try this out! Let me know if you do, and make sure to follow (:

summer essentials & hacks!

Hello everyone! Since it's mid-summer, and going to the beach and pool is definitely
a must, here are a few things I take in my beach or pool bag!

Also, keep reading to see some life hacks for summer!

SUNNIES - target and forever21 have the best ones.

GUM AND FOOD - I always get hungry at the beach or the pool!

WATER - I love using VOSS water bottles because they're really cute,
and you can put some fruit in it because it's transparent, and make fruit infused water!!
it's so photo worthy and tastes amazing.

LIP BALM- lip balm may be nice for the hydration, BUT it's super important to have
one with spf so your lips don't get burnt!

FEMININE PRODUCTS - periods suck, but don't be afraid to bring as many of these
as you want, you NEVER want to be in a situation without them, especially at the pool
or the beach!!

SUNSCREEN - this is common sense, but sometime's I forget my facial sunscreen in
my bag, so try to use a moisturizer with spf so you won't worry or break out!

HEADPHONES - these are so important for me, because the people at my pool can
be so annoying, and listening to music makes the whole summer
experience much more peaceful.

BOOK - I like to take a book I'm working on to the pool
or beach to pass time while tanning! currently I'm reading Since You've Been Gone
by Morgan Matson, and I love it!

HAIRBRUSH & HAIRTIES - I'm not a fan of a "sea salt spray" and I'm also too lazy
for that, so taking a brush for the tangles and a hair tie to get my
hair out of the way is fine for me!

MONEY - sometimes at the pool or beach they have pizza trucks or snow cone
stands, so money is a must have. and sometimes at
the pool I order my own pizza, oops

That's pretty much it for my essentials! There would be more things
like a bathing suit and a towel, but I never forget those!

FOR SUNBURNS - squeeze some aloe vera in an ice cube tray, and freeze it!
then apply it to your burn, it feels AMAZING!

NATURAL HIGHLIGHTS - squeeze some lemon juice in a spray bottle and
spray in your hair, and enjoy your day in the heat! lemon is natural and healthier
than bleach and chemicals!

WATERPROOF PHONE - put your phone in a plastic bag or two, and seal it!
it keeps the sand out, and (with risk) can make a waterproof case,
and the touchscreen will still work!

TO REMOVE SAND - whenever you get that annoying sand stuck on
your legs or feet, rub some baby powder on it, and it will disappear without a mess!

DIY SUN TATTOOS - draw a design on your arm, leg, or stomach with
Elmers Glue, let it dry, and go tanning. you'll have an awesome sun tattoo!

I hope you enjoyed this post, if you did comment below and SUBSCRIBE on the side bar!

ipsy vs. birchbox - JULY UNBOXING!

IT'S MY FAVORITE TIME OF MONTH.

IPSY VS. BIRCHBOX. Are you prepared?

The July Ipsy theme was "Summer Lovin", and I'm pretty excited.

- CITY COLOR HD POWDER // full size: $5.99

- COOLWAY BEACHY SEA SALT SPRAY // full size: $12.95

- JELLY PONG PONG 2-IN-1 EYELINER & SHADOW STICK // full size: $16.00

- CROWNBRUSH TWEEZERS // full size: $17.49

- JERSEY SHORE SUN MONGONGO LIP CONDITIONER // full size: $10.00

total: $62.43

The July Birchbox theme was "Go Bold"!

- VASANTI EXFOLIATING CLEANSER // full size: $34.00

- BUMBLE AND BUMBLE INVISIBLE OIL HAIR PRIMER // full size: $27.00

- STILA STAY ALL DAY LIQUID LIPSTICK // full size: $24.00

- HARVEY PRINCE "HELLO" PERFUME SAMPLE // full size: $55.00

- SUPERGOOP SUNSCREEN SERUM // full size: $42

total: $127

Obviously since they both were full of sample sizes, the total's aren't as high,
BUT Birchbox definitely has their eye out on high priced products.

I also didn't include the full size perfume in the total, because you
normally get a lot of random perfume samples, which I don't mind.

THE VERDICT:
I'm going to have to say... BIRCHBOX! I love any kind of hair and
face products, and so far I really enjoy the ones from this box.
Ipsy was great, but there's been better ones!

Just a reminder ... both Ipsy and Birchbox are $10 a month,
 and I highly recommend them!
